Fuujin and the Breath of Fresh Air

So I've been going to school, been working, and since I've gotten settled in, I can slowly start drowning myself in the sea of art again.

Problem? My brother fucked up my laptop so I can't quite use my tablet anymore with it, but this is something that is a blessing in disguise. It allows me to draw art traditionally and will help me get better in the process.

I've returned to my manga work. Of course I'll be redoing a lot of it since I kind of need to be in the flow again. All this art will be helpful in my improvement. I'm just glad to kind of know what I want to do now. Friends and I will be starting a business soon so keep an eye out for that. Dropping in late September. MG Tees. Thank you all for bringing me back!

So yup! Bought a new car, still in class, and still working. Things have been relatively good, and all this art will bring me up even higher. Wish me luck folks!

Finally got the job!

I finally got the job! Though they might give me irregular and possibly inconsistent hours, at 12.50 an hour, I'd say it's pretty legit in my situation and in this economy considering where I'm at in my career stage.

Bout time to work on stuff! And since I don't have to focus on getting a job anymore, back to what I love doing! =D

Hopefully I'll see you all soon.

Rough Work

I've learned over and over again that the creation of manga is a difficult task. Nevertheless I put effort in and hopefully some time in the future, it'll pay me back. These are manga "names," the epitome of manga write-ups. "Names" are the drafts that artists base the manga on, essentially being the rough draft, which then moves into a first draft, which is either redrawn if not good enough into a second draft, or if acceptable and appealing to the artist will be inked.

Luckily for me, I have gotten more and more comfortable with digital tools like Photoshop and Manga Studio (the latter I HEAVILY rely on for this project.) Here are some examples of my names. I picked random pages from chapter 1 because I don't want to leak too much of the story before finishing pages.

Please remember that these were meant to be rough sketches. Enjoy!

These are placed chronologically although there are pages missing in between. I need to keep secrets too! =D

I'm sure most of these pages will change once I start working on a draft, but until then, you'll be stuck with these XD.

More updates coming really soon.

Peace out home slices.

And Another Journey Begins

With the start of my artistic journey in the world of manga, and the introduction to the digital world via Piers, Yasu, and Wacom Bamboo, it's only fitting that I start a blog of my own.

There obviously isn't much here yet. I have yet to do all the formatting for this blog, but I'll be sure to do so as soon as physically possible. This blog, though including portions of my life aside from art, will mostly encompass my drawings, specifically my manga creations. It will not only motivate me to get work done, but is a great tool to get future fans' artistic blood pumping as well, possibly inspiring them to do the same.

So for now, I'll need to get things set up. I'll most likely post up some of the manga names that I have done so far later tonight. I'll make sure to keep you all posted!

Peace out home slices.
